Skin Tightening Q & A

What is skin tightening?

At Sasaki Advanced Aesthetic Medical Center, skin tightening includes many nonsurgical aesthetic treatments aimed at lifting and tightening your skin to rejuvenate your look.

Dr. Sasaki is a distinguished educator and a renowned innovator who combines his expertise, compassion, and experience to get you the improvements you desire.

What are skin tightening treatments?

Dr. Sasaki offers many innovative skin tightening treatments. His treatments include:

S4 suture system

Dr. Sasaki offers the S4 suture system to patients concerned about early signs of aging, but don’t want a surgical facelift. The S4 suture system is a “closed technique” that elevates the mid-face and lifts and tightens sagging jowls and loose neck skin.

It not only elevates the underlying tissue, but Dr. Sasaki’s S4 suture system also restores volume without the need for fillers by lifting and repositioning facial fat pads.

Dr. Sasaki also performs an “open technique,” which repositions the skin and facial fat pads and tightens the facial muscles using permanent sutures.

Ultherapy®

Since offering Ultherapy for skin tightening, Sasaki Advanced Aesthetic Medical Center has treated more than 500 patients using the innovative aesthetic tool.

Ultherapy is a noninvasive skin tightening treatment that uses an external transducer that reaches all tissues levels, from the skin to the bone. The thermal energy created by Ultherapy reorganizes and contracts the collagen fibers to tighten and elevate the skin.

Dr. Sasaki is a lead investigator and consultant for Ultherapy® for skin and subdermal skin tightening and shares his knowledge with physicians and other health care providers, both nationally and internationally.

Micro-needling with Radiofrequency (PRP or exosome applications)

In 2006, Dr. Sasaki was one of the first consultant and investigator on micro-needling procedures that intentionally penetrated the skin-dermis at various depths to purposely 1) breach the epidermal lipid barrier to allow therapeutic agents (PRP, nanofat growth factors, exosomes) to reach the lower level of the epidermis and the dermis, and 2) to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin fibers from thousands of micro-wound healing responses.

In order to boost the delivered energy, radiofrequency heat between needles further stimulated skin contraction and collagen and elastin formation. Dr. Sasaki was one of the first consultants and investigators on this new dual device in 2008 and has published and presented his results at national and international societal meetings. Dr. Sasaki has further investigated micro-needling-RF with PRP or exosomes and offers this combined procedure to his patients to treat scars, acne depressions, and striae (stretch marks), and skin tightening and rejuvenation with significant results.
